Overview
This model features a simulated female pelvis with realistic appearance and feel, accurately representing anatomical structures. It demonstrates the entire childbirth process and includes two fetuses with umbilical cords, making it suitable for training in fetal delivery, twin delivery, and managing umbilical cord complications.
Anatomy
The pelvic model replicates real size and anatomical structures, including the hip bone, sacrum, coccyx, lumbar vertebrae (4th and 5th), sacral promontory, pubic symphysis, ischial spine, and ischial tuberosity.
The inlet, mid-pelvic, and outlet planes are designed to reflect normal human dimensions for pelvic measurement training.
Realism
The model intuitively demonstrates the eight stages of fetal delivery: connection, descent, flexion, internal rotation, extension, reduction, external rotation, and delivery.
Equipped with two simulated fetuses, it allows for training in twin delivery and scenarios involving dystocia.
It provides insights into the management of umbilical cord issues, including cord prolapse.
