Overview
This IV training arm is an excellent model for practicing intravenous skills. It allows trainees to progressively increase the difficulty, helping to enhance their proficiency.
Anatomy
The venipuncture can also be performed along the median cephalic, median basilic, and median cubital veins.
Realism
Realism of appearance and performance necessary to provide realistic practice for trainees.
Key Features:
Realistic characteristic “pop” can be felt when needle penetrates veins
Produces a realistic backflow of blood or fluid injected in the syringe
The hand skin and the veins can be easily removed and replaced after use
Intramuscular injections may be performed in the deltoid muscle
Identify puncture locations through palpation of the veins:
-Venipuncture
-IV cannulation
-IV infusion
-Deltoid muscle injection
Cleaning
Clean the simulator with a damp cloth, using warm water and neutral detergent. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or materials.
Allow trainer to completely dry before storing.
Keep away from sunshine.
